A Quick Winter Vacation

I am running a day behind this week. I did not do a post on Monday, having come down with a stomach bug of some kind. Then, I missed sharing in on Wednesday posts as well!

I don't know about you, but I have been looking out at my snow covered garden and am more than ready for a floral break! So here we go- a Wordless Wednesday post (well, almost wordless) on Thursday. Bright, colorful orchids to carry us all though this cold, wintery weekday.

  2. Those are fabulous captures, especially the deep pinks - I can never get a clear shot of flowers that color. A beautiful break from reality!

  3. Beautiful orchids. I guess you took these photos during warmer days. It seems to me that many people are not feeling well. Hope you are feeling better now after admiring these beauties.

  6. They are beautiful. I only have one of mine in bloom now, but stalks are showing on all but one. You have some wonderful colors and the first image is so beautiful. Mine are all lavenders, whites and yellows.

  9. Hi Everyone, Thanks for your well wishes. I am feeling much better now. The orchids were on display at my favorite nursery, when I stopped in to pick up a last minute Christmas gift. My husband and I dropped back in to take some photos after the holidays. The greenhouse was warm, humid and brightly lit. The wide selection of orchids on display were just loving it! With regard to the photography, my Nikon camera has a special setting for warm colors. It makes a huge difference in being able to capturing bright red and pink colored flowers.
