I am running a day behind this week. I did not do a post on Monday, having come down with a stomach bug of some kind. Then, I missed sharing in on Wednesday posts as well!
I don't know about you, but I have been looking out at my snow covered garden and am more than ready for a floral break! So here we go- a Wordless Wednesday post (well, almost wordless) on Thursday. Bright, colorful orchids to carry us all though this cold, wintery weekday.
Beautiful photos of gorgeous orchids!!! Love the first one, then the next...and.. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous captures, especially the deep pinks - I can never get a clear shot of flowers that color. A beautiful break from reality!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful orchids. I guess you took these photos during warmer days. It seems to me that many people are not feeling well. Hope you are feeling better now after admiring these beauties.
ReplyDeleteThose orchids are gorgeous! I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheerful sight in the middle of winter!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. I only have one of mine in bloom now, but stalks are showing on all but one. You have some wonderful colors and the first image is so beautiful. Mine are all lavenders, whites and yellows.
ReplyDeleteCertainly helps to see some colour other than whiter then white snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and shamelessly extravagant! What show offs orchids are, and a delight to see on such a snowy cold day here.
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone, Thanks for your well wishes. I am feeling much better now. The orchids were on display at my favorite nursery, when I stopped in to pick up a last minute Christmas gift. My husband and I dropped back in to take some photos after the holidays. The greenhouse was warm, humid and brightly lit. The wide selection of orchids on display were just loving it! With regard to the photography, my Nikon camera has a special setting for warm colors. It makes a huge difference in being able to capturing bright red and pink colored flowers.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! A thousand thanks for cheering up this gray day! I may need to go pick a bunch of flowers from the grocery store just to brighten things up!
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing me with a mid-week 'stayvacation'! Hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Orchids! Thanks for sharing and brightening up my day.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel much better. The exotic orchid is a lovely sight to behold.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful break. Get well soon!
