This is my idea of "gardening" mid-summer.
To insure a dog-gone good time on a really hot day, I recommend that you mope about the kitchen until your owner feels so sorry for you that she drags out the sprinkler.
Here's how my favourite sprinkler game works.
First, you get into the optimal position.
Then you wait.
The anticipation may be killing you, but at least you know what's coming.
I find that barking profusely always makes the sprinkler move a little faster.
Yippee ki-yay!
Sometimes others may try to cut in on your act.
Just ignore them!
Shake and get right back into position.
Man this feels refreshing!
I am off for 7 days to visit my family in Nova Scotia.
Have a wonderful week!
Ha, ha, what a clever dog, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the happy doggie faces! So adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo lovely, it's his or her day and she's laughing........so adorable that funny face. Great pictures of great dogs!
ReplyDeleteOptimal post!! Love it!!
ReplyDeletegreat! After a day like today working in my garden when it is almost 90 degrees out I would really like to join them...but I wouldn't be near as cute.LOL
ReplyDeleteThey look like they had a ball! I don't think my dogs would play in the sprinkler even if they are hot. I hope you ran through the sprinkler with them! Have a wonderful trip Jennifer~!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love this. Makes me miss havin' a doggie around. Ours LOVED the spray nozzle attachment. I don't know who had more fun, me or her. Enjoy your time away....take lotsa pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved these pictures of two very happy smiling dogs cooling off. Truly delightful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this, Jennifer! Looks like they're having such a great time. Thanks for brightening my morning!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Great post. Lovely pictures of your beautiful dogs with your gardens as a backdrop.
ReplyDeleteThey sure look like they're having a grand time. It almost makes you wonder how much water actually reached the ground, or if most of it stayed on the pups!
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific trip and enjoy the family and Nova Scotia.
That is awesome! Enjoy your holiday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, wonderful post! I did enjoy it and the fantastic pics!!! I have a huge smile on my face! Have a fab holiday!xxx

All the best Jan
What a sweet post. They were sure enjoying themselves in the sprinkler. Made me happy to see them having such fun.
ReplyDeleteSoo fun! Your collies look joyful, we must learn from them. Thank you
ReplyDeleteJennifer girl your doggy kids are almost as cute as my kitty kids ... but they wouldn't be caught dead playing with a sprinkler .. ergo kitties miss that extra special cut of being TOO DARN CUTE as your pups look ! Ahhhhhhhhhh ! nothing like that big happy doggy smile .... and ... hum .... the smell of wet dogs ? LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great visit girl !
Joy ... snort giggle snort !
Happy doggies! Greetings from switzerland (Dex, Venus, Boyd and Chicco)
ReplyDeleteI just love it, and what about the cat sitting on the bench looking to get in on the act, but then again, methinks it looks very stationary.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post! I can't drag my dogs into the sprinkler, they don't know what they are missing. They seem to hate water on their ears.
ReplyDeleteOh this absolutely makes my day! My female Aussie always played that game too. These two look delighted beyond belief!
ReplyDeleteThese are some of the best pictures on a hot summer day that I have seen in a while. They are having so much fun, they're smiling!
ReplyDeleteThe way our summer is going I'd be elbowing your dogs aside so I could get in that sprinkler to cool off! Your dogs are positively grinning!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Jennifer, the last shot here is priceless!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Wilson loves sprinkles too!
ReplyDeleteDogs keep us young and playing...safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThe scenery in your garden is so beautiful. Your dogs are so adorable. I'd love to have a sheltie again.
