  4. Just beautiful Jennifer. At least you still have a spring going on. It seems like ours was a long time ago.

  5. Hi Jennifer
Gorgeous shots!! Looks like the weather really cooperated for you.
If that yellow daffodil you couldn't find the tag for was quite short and dainty, could it be 'Hawera'? They are a joy to have and last for weeks.

  9. Each image is prettier than the one before - I loved the Flaming Spring Green tulip and the bed of pink tulips under planted with tiny daffs - and the mahonia (a reminder of my own garden) - all lovely!

  11. Wow Jennifer, what gorgeous spring blooms. I love your Oregon Grape shrub blooms. Mine has never bloomed yet for me. The white anemone blooms get my attention though. How pristine and lovely they are.

    1. Lona, The Oregon Grape shrub is not mine. I saw an Oregon Grape for the first time last week at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton and then yesterday at Edwards Gardens here in Toronto. It is gorgeous, isn't it? And the fragrance is divine!

  12. Wonderful post Jennifer and great timing. I'm puttering around my flower garden these days moving plants and eyeing up 'holes' in the design trying to figure out what should go where. Loved the combination of white daffodils and anemones. Think I might order some white daffs now in fall to plant with my anemones.

    1. Dani, I'd like to take the credit for all this beauty, but I cannot. The spring bulb combinations shown here are all from Edwards Gardens which is a public garden here in Toronto.

  16. Fantastic blooms and so many lovely colours. We are still too cold and wet for butterflies unfortunately. Could your yellow and white narcissus be "Pipit" with a gorgeous perfume, mine looks very similar and are flowering now.

  19. Made my day - great images Jennifer! I used fragrant Thalia daffs in my blue and white containers this year - so pretty. I agree with Pauline, I think the yellow and white narcissus is Pipit - a wonderfully sturdy variety.

  21. Your posts and especially the photos are always a pleasing oasis in a busy day. I don't think that is A. nemorosa, the flowers aren't that tall and the stalks aren't that sturdy. I could be thrown off by the camera angle though, but could it be A. sylvestris?

    1. Thanks Carolyn, I did my best to identify everything properly, but you may be right. I have removed the name of the particular variety and will stick with 'White Wood Anemone' until I can be certain.
