Donna, The daffodils are from a slightly more shaded area and that is why they are so late into the season. The phlox is a spring blooming Woodland Phlox. The lilacs are at their peak right now and they smell divine!!
What a stunning bouquet and all from your garden too. We too have daffodils still flowering, unheard of for nearly June! The bee couldn't resist such a pretty offering and is making the most of your beautiful flowers.
Actually the flowers are lilacs and woodland phlox Snowbird. My white lilac bush had an abundance of flowers this spring and I couldn't resist picking some.

Forget-me-nots do like the cool of early spring here. They are biennials that are not long lived in my garden. The bloom in May/early June and then turn brown and set seed. I yank most of them out because they are really, really good self-seeders. They are also prone to mildew once they finish flowering.

How beautiful! Those some kind of phlox in that bouquet? I couldn't tell for sure. They look like the phlox ol' peepers grows but they seemed bigger than hers - I mean, MINE - when compared to the pretty daffies. I'm gonna ask - I mean, TELL - ol' peepers to grow some white lilacs like you have in your beautiful bouquet. Those would be super-duper pretty, I think.
white, blue, yellow & green - what could be prettier - if I was a bee I couldn't resist either. Those are always my go-to design colours for a shaded garden. My woodland phlox is m.i.a. this year. Really miss it. It has a slight blue cast - and have it next to some small white tulips. Alas this year, tulips, no phlox. Maybe next year? B

ReplyDeleteYes, it is. I have the same purple woodland phlox that you have Sweetbay and bought the white variety this spring when I saw it at a local nursery.
