We are fast approaching the end of year, so I thought I would bid 2015 goodbye, with a "Best of" that features your favourite posts, based on a number of factors including reader page views.

Your Favourite Private Garden is pretty much a tie between two Nova Scotia gardens: 



Donna Ever's woodland garden: The Shady Woodland & the Gate of Lost Marbles.


Your Favourite Problem Solver would go to this post: More Ideas for that Narrow Space between Suburban Homes.


Most Popular Public Garden goes to the Rock Garden in Truro Nova Scotia.




Not far behind it, in second place, was this post: 10+ Favourite Shrubs.


Your Favourite Project was this hydrangea wreath.


Your Favourite Post Featuring my Garden among a number of others: Core Mid-Summer Plants and Pretty Combinations.


The post that received The Most Google +s: A trip to the Countryside.


The Post with the Most Comments was the one in which I wrote about the heartbreak of Rusty's tragic loss. My family and I were really touched by all your kind expressions of sympathy. 

A close second was this post, with our other two Shelties playing in the sprinkler last summer: Two Crazy Dogs in a Garden.

    I always love reading your posts and many of the photos you showed here I remember, but although I love gardens and gardening, your most beautiful ones here are your lovely dogs.

    It's easy to see why those posts were such hits. Poor Rusty, that is still so utterly heart breaking....

    Jennifer girl .. some how I missed the post about Rusty, I am so truly sorry for you and your family's loss. I still can't come to terms with my Molly's loss almost 9 years ago.
    They keep a paw on your heart.
    Your posts are always wonderful ... this is a great read to see which ones were so popular ... I love that the gardens in Truro were so popular !
    Your photography is wonderful girl ! .. I hope to improve more this year with mine: )

    I am new to your blog so you may have covered this before. I would love to see gardens done on a small, limited budget.............or more home garden tours. I wonder if there are ways to "fancy up" chain link fencing............

      Thanks Kim, I'll keep your ideas in mind. To fancy up a chain link fence I would plant a vine that might cover the surface and hide the metal fencing. There are any number of ivy type vines to choose from. Here is a post on dressing up fencing that you may find interesting:

      Thanks Mindy. I didn't show my garden much last year. There were too many non-related projects in the works making for one big mess in the yard. I will try to feature it more often in 2016.

    I so enjoyed your photos. A wonderful change from my daily view of several inches of snow and sleet. Your dogs are lovely, collies have always been my favorite breed. I'm sorry for your loss. Wishing you a wonderful new year and looking forward to your lovely photos in 2016.
