  1. Wow, great photos. I really liked the back porch shot with the natural looking field and hollyhocks popping up, I'd be a big fan of having that view out my back porch.

  19. I saw your blog on a friend's blog, and your flowers caught my eye, as they are so beautiful. I am a flower lover too, and roses are my favorite. The hollyhocks have a soft, pretty color. I'm not familiar with many of these flowers, so it was interesting to browse through them all. You have such a lovely blog, and I really enjoy taking pictures of nature as well. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back and seeing your wonderful pictures. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

  20. I loved these unmanicured gardens that look as though they have just evolved naturally. Marnie's garden in particular looks like an extension of the countryside - my type of garden.

  21. Hello Jennifer girl !
Right now it is hot and sticky outside (Garden PA and a friend are down in your area for the golf tournament watching the BIG money players, haha) ... I need to do so much in my garden I am overwhelmed .. today won't be the day but the chores are piling up !
Stopping to look at these gorgeous pictures was a wonderful break from obsessing about it all.
I love the relaxed look of country gardens .. those holly hocks are so pretty as are the rest of the flowers.
One picture that struck me was Marnie's shed .. totally rustic and beautiful but ? look how carefully that window box are planted! I love it !
    Take care
    Joy
PS ... also loved connecting with Mahone Bay .. miss the sea and the fresh salt air !

    1. My reply is likely to disappoint you Karen. They're a weed! More particularly they are my favourite weed! The flowers of Daisy Fleabane, Erigeron annus are a soft pink when they open and then they fade to white. The plant is quite tall. Usually I leave it when it pops up in my own garden because I like it so much. Feverfew or a shasta daisy would be a perennial alternative (although I warn you that Feverfew is a prolific self-seeder).
