ReplyDeleteThis looks like an absolutely beautiful place. Is it a public park with great gardens, or a designated botanical garden, or something in between? Though I guess what it is labled does not matter considering how lovely it is.

ReplyDeleteLes, Edwards Gardens is located in Toronto and is a public garden adjacent to the Toronto Botanical Gardens. It is a beautiful place, well worth a visit if you are in the city. Sadly, three dogs are not allowed in this garden.
I keep saying I want a weeping willow in our yard and these pictures just make me want it more. The bench beneath the tree is so picturesque to me.

ReplyDeleteThat weeping willow is spectacular! It makes the youngster (25 years old) in my own garden pale in comparison. It must be very old judging by the huge girth of the trunk. Gorgeous closeups of the many different and shrubs flowers and the planted up beds are so colourful and full of beautiful specimens! What a wonderful place to have spent a lazy, summer's afternoon! They must employ vast teams of gardeners to keep everything so well maintained! I love that blue mist shrub! What a beauty. I've never seen it before.

ReplyDeleteAlso is Rusty a wee Sheltie, when I was younger (much younger)and living with my parents we had a sheltie and she looks a lot like your Rusty.
Very disappointed that I was told to leave because I brought my therapy dog with me to visit this park. Dogs banned from parks? Next they will be banning naughty children who might trample one of the flower beds. A man was smoking & threw his cigarette butt into the garden. But let’s ban dogs because god forbid they might what bark? Pee? Poop? Come on!
ReplyDeleteI can't speak for the TBG, but I am guessing that they view themselves as a "botanical garden" and not as a "park". I think they'd take the view that there are plenty of parks in Toronto. They see there mandate as plants.
DeleteI can understand your disappointment though. I have often wished I could take my dogs with me and stroll around the gardens. It's a beautiful place.
