We specifically drove to the bird sanctuary at the very tip of Point Pelee one year, where there are supposed to be a lot of Monarchs. Must have been the wrong time of year because we didn't see one.

Even though I've written in the last post, I wish to again express my sincerest sympathy and compassion to you and your husband on the loss of your dear Buddy and the bunny.DianeSchuller.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17359249391460871879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7116278351699614429.post-44416087652528386082018-08-06T10:49:04.350-07:002018-08-06T10:49:04.350-07:00I hope you are able to catch the final unveiling. ...I hope you are able to catch the final unveiling. It should emerge in about 10 days as a butterfly. I just missed seeing the "pupa dance" when the caterpillar sheds its skin and wraps itself up in a green translucent cocoon. I hope not to miss its emergence as a butterfly. I did want to mention though, that that's not a monarch in your last photo. It's a viceroy.
