Eleanor Roosevelt was a very smart lady. I try to follow her advice and stick to ideas rather than people. Your roses are something I would be proud of if they were at their height--it's funny you say they are not a tour de force right now. I answered your invasive question on my blog. Corydalis lutea in your photo reminds me that gardeners often call it invasive, but to me it's not because, although it seeds around a lot, you can remove it easilyCarolyn @ Carolyn's Shade Gardenshttp://carolynsshadegardens.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7116278351699614429.post-70909064390040771512011-10-18T18:35:11.407-07:002011-10-18T18:35:11.407-07:00They are superbly gorgeous!!! When I lived in Houston I went and bought one of almost every color and planted them along my fence. I used to know the names and they were so much fun to prune and take care of. I used to bring the blooms inside all the time. There was one in particular that looked like deep red velvet and was so aromatic. They are all so pretty it is hard to decide which one I like the best! How much fun for you to have them all. I miss having them in the back and sitting out there in the sun pruning them. Beautiful.
