Do you ever struggle to come to an opinion when looking at your own work? Is this version or that version better?
I bought a little bouquet of flowers at Saturday's Framers Market for $7 (And speaking of little things, fresh flowers are a little thing that I can never seem to do without.)
I put them in my favourite little vase and stood back to admire them. The arrangement seemed a bit monochromatic to someone like me who loves color, so I went out into the garden and picked some geraniums to add into the small bouquet.
But as I was shooting, the purple seemed to be popping like crazy and I started to question the last minute addition.
Maybe simple was better? So I ripped out the purple flowers and took more shots.
In the end, I couldn't decide. With purple or without, which is better?
To create the textural effects, I used Kim's Stained Linen and Golden textures. I played around with both the color burn and soft blending modes. To see other beautiful images with the Kim's suggested theme "it's the little things" please click the link: Kim Klassen's Cafe.
